Estimates only

Every number produced by SolarMath’s calculators is an estimate. Results depend on the accuracy of your inputs and on averaged data: state-level peak sun hours, state-average residential electricity prices (2025), typical installed pricing (≈$2.85/W nationally), a 0.80 system performance factor, 3% default electricity-price escalation, 0.5% annual panel degradation and a year-13 inverter replacement in long-term projections. Your roof, shade, tariff, usage pattern and negotiated price will move your real outcome, sometimes substantially.

Not financial, tax or legal advice

Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice, tax advice, legal advice or a recommendation to buy any product. Solar is a significant purchase; consult qualified professionals and obtain written quotations from licensed installers before committing.

Incentives change

Federal, state and utility incentive rules change frequently — including the end of the federal residential clean energy credit for new homeowner installations after 2025. Incentive content on this site is general information believed accurate at its stated review date; eligibility must be verified against current official sources (IRS.gov, your state energy office, your utility, and the DSIRE database) before any purchase decision.

No endorsement

Mention of any company, product, programme or tariff is for explanation only and does not constitute endorsement. SolarMath does not sell leads and receives no commission from installers for calculator results.
